Garden Community Choir : Recorded at the 1st United Methodist Church in downtown Orlando, Fl. Conducted and arranged by Jeffery Redding with 2 DPA 4041 mics 30 ft back from choir center of the room. Close microphones consisted of 2 DPA 4011s extreme right and left with a DPA 4016 wide cardiod in the center. Schoeps CMC 5 mics on the percussion and oboe. The original prototype Grado Sphere 7 " (halographic microphone) was placed 20 ft from choir. Recorded on the Tascam X48 at 96 Khz. Bonse Aba.mp3 was mixed utilizing the built in mixer in the X48 with no eq. Great arrangement of Bonse Aba. 1. Flaco Jimenez with Peter Rowan and The Free Mexican Airforce. Live from a KFAT "Fat Fry" 1980 in Palo Alto, California . Mics were split with house PA and were mixed live in a truck in the back alley on a 1978 Allen and Heath console 16 x16 with program audio going to 2 Marti transmitters as well as a Scully 280 2 track. This song Maria Elena.MP3 is dedicated to the late wonderful music director of KFAT and KPIG, Laura Ellen Hopper. "The Lost Files" The Shaun Rounds Blues Band Live at the Hard Rock Cafe, Orlando, Fl. Recorded as part of the Livewire concert series. Actually its the video files that are lost in the server at the TV station. Gary has put together some song highlights for you to enjoy since the audio is tact. Shaun and his band are amazing musicians you should see Shaun live. Recorded Aug 11th, 2006 using a Tascam MX2424 with DPA 4041 mics as drum underheads on his left handed drummer. Beyer M88 kick, snare sm57, and the 2 DPA 4041 underhead mics. Barry Williams bass guitar was recorded using a Summit TD100 tube DI. Mohave A great band that composed its own original eclectic americana music. A unique mixture of electric hammond dulcimer thru a wah wah pedal and other efx, along with trumpet, drums, keyboards and bass. These songs were recorded live at the Hard Rock Cafe, Orlando FL. August 12, 2005 in the Jambando/Livewire series. Mohave disbanded shortly after this performance after years of success on the road. The Jambando series was done festival style with 15 minute set changes and only a line check of mics and DI's. No real sound check. DPA 4041 mics were used as drum underheads along with kick and snare mics. A great example of capturing multiple reflections and various wavelengths of instruments in high resolution. Big Rick and The Troublemakers Part of the Orange Blossom Blues Society concert live at the Hard Rock Cafe . With lefty Danny Leach from Boston on Drums, Jeff Willey on harmonica (now with the Smokin' Torpedoes) and Shaun Rounds on the telecaster bass. Highway 61.mp3 (Bob Dylan) ,I'm Gonna Murder My Baby.mp3 (Pat Hare) a tender romantic love song , Boom Boom Boom.mp3 (John Lee Hooker) , Dust My Broom.mp3 (Elmore James) , Long Distance Call.mp3 (Muddy Waters) , Stranger.mp3 (Elmore James). Utilizing DPA 4041 mics as drum underheads and DPA 4023s as ambience mics. Only 3 drum mics on the kit. The DPA 4041 mics are high resolution omnis. In post production Gary used the Summit TD-100 DI box in slight compression mode on Big Ricks guitar to capture the real blues grunge and enhance the Shure sm57. TimberCreek Hellbound Highway.mp3 was remixed at the Disney- MGM Studios in 2002 on a Studer D950 console. The title track of the album now pirated by RadioActive records. The quality here is far superior than the bootleg. You Can Be Anything.mp3 recorded live at the Boots and Saddles Lodge in La Honda, California late 1974. Complete with overdriven guitar amps, feedback, mic preamps clipping, tape drop outs due to age. The song has a great feel and lyrics. God Said. mp3 was recorded live in Palo Alto, Calibunga. West Orange High School Choir "Unity" with Jeffery Redding directing. Live at the First Methodist Church of Orlando May 7th, 2004. Recorded at 96Khz on a Tascam MX2424 using DPA 4041s @130volts and the DPA Summation system using DPA 4061s on piano, oboe and flute. All omni directional mics were used except for the solo hand held mic. Due to the vast size of the church and the choir the DPA 4041s were placed 18 ft apart to capture multiple reflections and various wavelengths in high resolution. This can only be done with high quality omni directional mics. The Shoshone Love Song.mp3 is a great song and arrangement. The Troubles of the World.mp3 also by the male chorus with a great rendition of the spirtual. Sweeping Through the City.mp3 the young lead singer and choir just pour their hearts out into this high energy song. How can I Keep from Singing.mp3 . Psalm 23.mp3 allows you to hear the complete DPA Summation System. At times while listening you forget that these are just high school folks. The W.O.Choir was able to compete in Europe based upon this recording.

Fly Me To The Moon Concert: Michael Andrew and Swingerhead with the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra with maestro Andy Lane conducting live at the Bob Carr Performing Arts Center (aka Dead Bob's to the technical production community.) Mic placement was done for surround sound with 2 DPA 4041 mics on the orchestra, 2 DPA 4004 mics for ambience. DPA 4023 for Harp spot mic. Michael used a Sennheiser wireless processing was done via a vintage Orban Compressor in expansion mode. The Neve Portico 5043 was used as the stereo bus compressor.
